Of Mockers and Fools and Wisdom and Knowledge and Discerning

"The mocker seeks wisdom and finds none, but knowledge comes easily to the discerning.  Stay away from a fool for you will not find knowledge on their lips.  The wisdom of the prudent is to give thought to their ways, but the folly of fools is deception."  (Prov. 14:6-8, NIV)

I read something by, "a fool," on the Internet which declared that "the mouth of God is the mind of man....Thinking creates reality, but thinking as we all know it, is the process of asking and answering...in your head."  This is classic philosophy of fools.  They are as the Pharisee, who, "stood and prayed...with himself."

The antithesis of this is praying, "by everything that proceeds out of the mouth of the LORD," i.e., "The Word of God," who said, "came forth from the Father," and in the Holy Spirit, "even the Spirit of truth which proceeds from the Father."  When my life is so lived, my communion and walk with and in the Blessed Trinity won't be "asking and answering...in your head."  I will pray that which, "came forth from the Father," and that, "which proceeds from the Father."

Beware, "the mocker," today.  He may seem "intelligent," articulate, and appealing.  Our text declares, however, that he is nothing but, "a fool," and, "the folly of fools is deception."  Stay, "abide," live in Father today, in Jesus Christ today, in the Holy Spirit today, "everything that proceeds out of the mouth of the LORD [Jesus Christ]," and the fool's deception will not overtake you.  Later in Prov. 14 we read, "The faithless will be fully repaid for their ways, and the good rewarded for theirs."  Surely, your reward is at hand.

Father, in Jesus' Name, thank You for the Manna from Heaven.  Amen.
