"HE BROUGHT US OUT THAT HE MIGHT BRING US IN"

"Then He brought us out from there, that He might bring us in, to give us the land of which He swore to our fathers."  (Deuteronomy 6:23)

Jesus Christ brought us out of sin, bondage, and despair, and into what man lost in his rebellion towards the Living Triune God.  Now the reality of what the Bible declares is ours: "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come."  Glory!  Let us so walk in Him.

Father, in Jesus' Name, I so desire to walk in that for which You brought me into Yourself.  Amen.

A GREAT, GREAT PRAYER

"....I pray that the sharing of your faith may become effective for the full knowledge of every good thing that is in us for the sake of Christ."  (Philemon 6, ESV)

I pray this for you and me.  What a prayer!  Please pray this for Sarah and me as we embark on the mission to Crow Country.

Father, in Jesus' Name, I pray Paul's prayer for Philemon for my friend and me.  Amen.

"....GOOD WORKS, TO MEET URGENT NEEDS...."

"And let our people also learn to maintain good works, to meet urgent needs, that they may not be unfruitful."  (Titus 3:14)

Evangelicals for generations have had a very real tendency to sideline, "....to maintain good works...."

Many think that we are saved from good works rather than what the Bible teaches us, "....we are...created in Christ Jesus for good works...."

Works don't save us.  They are the evidence that we are saved.

Father, in Jesus' Name, I commit myself, "....to maintain good works, to meet urgent needs...."  Amen.
