Jesus Destroyed The Destroyer

"This is My Body Which is given for you...."  (Luke 22:19b)

Here is my summation of what Jesus did on the Cross, in His Shed Blood and His Death, in His Resurrection:  JESUS DESTROYED EVERYTHING WHICH IS OUT TO DESTROY YOU AND ME.

Father, in Jesus' Name, I say with the song writer, "In the Cross of Christ I glory, Towering or'e the wrecks of time."  Amen.

"I Pray That............."

"Let those who intend to take my life be disgraced and humiliated, let those who plan to harm me be turned back and ashamed."  (Psalm 35:4, CSB)

I prayed this passage during the 2020 election campaigns, particularly for President Trump and his enemies.  The natural eye said this didn't happen.  But then our Lord Jesus Christ impressed upon me, "The iniquity of the Amorite is not yet full," or, "has not yet reached its full measure."

Beware jumping to conclusions about "answered" or "unanswered" prayers.  The best way to cure gloating or despair is for you and me to keep our eyes and ears open to The Word of God Himself, our Lord Jesus Christ.  Do we really believe and act upon, "nevertheless, not my will but thine be done"?!?

 

Father, in Jesus' Name, thank You for fulfilling, "Thy Kingdom come.  Thy will be done...."  Amen.
