"JESUS THE HOPE OF US"

"Paul an apostle of Christ Jesus according to the command of God [the] Savior of us and of Christ Jesus the hope of us."  (1 Timothy 1:1, Interlinear Greek Translation)

Notice, "God [the] Savior of us and...Christ Jesus the hope of us."  Notice again the emphasis that more than Jesus Christ giving us hope, Jesus Christ, as the NASB says, "Who is our hope."

Jesus is more than one who gives hope.  Jesus is our hope, "....the hope of us"!

Father, in Jesus' Name, I so thank You that You are, "Our Father, who art in Heaven," and also, "Our Father, who art," in me.  Amen.

"....THAT YOUR WAY MAY BE KNOWN...."

"God be merciful to us and bless us, and cause His face to shine upon us, that Your way may be known on earth, Your salvation among all nations."  

(Psalm 67:1, 2)

Every time I read this text I think of my Dad.  He would always have one of his week-day prayer and Bible study groups close the meeting with praying this verse corporately.  It has always told me a lot about this Jesus-Centered, praying, man committed to the Kingdom, World missions.

My first cognitive recollection of guests in our home is two German pastors, one from West Germany and one from East Germany--- I repeat, my first.  I have a, "good heritage."  If you don't have one, start one.

Father, in Jesus' Name, I pray, "....Cause [Your] face to shine upon us, that Your way may be known on earth, Your salvation among all nations."  Amen.

Hebrews 12:2

"IN GOD.., IN THE LORD (I WILL PRAISE HIS WORD"

"In God (I will praise His Word), in the Lord (I will praise His Word)...." (Psalm 56:10)

The, "God-Breathed," Word tells us that one of Jesus Christ's Names is, "The Word of God."  And, there is only One, "Word of God."  Hence, we may translate today's text as, "In God (I will praise His Jesus), in the Lord (I will praise His Jesus).  

And here's some more Great News from the Scriptures, which are, "The Words of God":  This Living, Eternal Word of the Father, our Glorious Jesus, the Christ, is our indwelling King, Savior, Deliverer, Healer, "....Light and...Salvation.., strength of [our] life."

As a living illustration of this, I read yesterday in Brother Andrew's Prayer Force:  "After seeing Jesus in a dream, Geetika says she was physically healed.  Many people in India have experienced special healing that drew them to the Lord."  Okay, so I repeat, "In the Lord (I will praise His Jesus)"!

Father, in Jesus' Name, I do praise You, Your Jesus, Holy Spirit, "blessed Trinity."  Amen.

We are taking to Crow Country a total of 600 backpacks with notebooks and other school supplies.  Also, we are taking about 20 chairs for one of the Churches there.

"....May Believe"

"Then it will be, if they do not believe you, nor heed the message of the first sign, that they may believe the message of the latter sign." (Exodus 4:8)

"....that they may believe the...latter sign."   

Think of how many "signs" you and I have seen, heard, experienced over the years and we were like Moses (Remember all his questions?) and the Hebrews, viz., "may believe," but did not.    

Father, in Jesus' Name, I pray that You do not say of me, "....may believe...."  Amen.
