I'll Try To Get Back "On Schedule"

"The Lord within her is righteous; He does no wrong.  Morning by morning He dispenses His justice, and every new day He does not fail, yet the unrighteous know no shame."  (Zephaniah 3:5, NIV)

This is a pronouncement on Jerusalem.  It could, however, be a pronouncement on many cities around the world, but today it is Minneapolis.  Martin King would be appalled, so too Gandhi, all the historic leaders whom "peace" advocates admire.

The first four verses of chapter 3 speak of, "city of oppressors, rebellious and defiled!  She obeys no one, she accepts no correction.  She does not trust in the Lord, she does not draw near to her God."  Today, Minneapolis is just a reflection of The United States of America, which outlawed the Prayer of Jesus (1962), and His Words (1963), and continues on the path to, "oppressors, rebellious and defiled..., obeys no one,..no correction...Does not trust in the Lord...." 

"If My People, who are called by My Name, will...seek My Face,"(daily, and not just once a year, monthly, or weekly), "....then I will...," saith the Lord Jesus Christ.

Father, in Jesus' Name, I pray to be a daily, moment by moment, "seek My Face," follower of Jesus.  Amen.

"When I Awake," What?

"When I awake, I am still with You."  (Psalm 139:18b)

Well, there we have our life, as the old song says, "Safe in the arms of Jesus."

Many fear the "night seasons," and the reasons can be many.  Yet David had been recounting just how covered was his life, e.g., "You know my sitting down and my rising up....You have enclosed me and with Your powerful arm You protect me from every side."

This is a time of great apprehension in the world; nobody seems to really know anything about the "fate of humanity."  The Living Triune God knows, however, and we can be assured that in whatever condition we find ourselves, at any time, anywhere, as the Bible says, "whether we wake or sleep...we live together," in Jesus Christ.

Father, in Jesus' Name, I thank You that, "in whatsoever state I am,..when I awake, I am still with You."  Amen.
