The Attempt To Bully The Church Will Increase

"Man in his honor, yet without understanding is like the beasts that are destroyed."  (Psalm 49:20, NASB)

We are witnessing today many who are being honored who nothing but humanists, and assert all manner of beastly philosophies and theologies.  If you listen to them, all the world's problems will be solved.  They are winning over so many "famous" people, even many in Christendom.  They demand that we apologize for being, well, us.

According to many today, I should apologize and be "defunded."  I'm a white, European, male, the very species which many in the "women's movement" and BLM consider the main threat not only to American life, but also world peace.  But these movements, and many like them, simply are of those who, "....lack understanding..." which, need I remind you, is only in Jesus Christ and His Words.

The Church will increasingly come under attempts to bully us into "repentance," and embracing the humanistic, destructive lifestyle of, "....the beasts that perish"; therefore, "Be strong in the Lord [Jesus Christ] and in the power of His might.  And take...the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God...."

Father, in Jesus' Name, I pray for great conviction if at any time I allow this world system to dictate to me how I believe and conduct my life.  Amen.

When Peter, an 18 year old Norwegian, "heard the call to evangelize China, on that day he not only emptied his wallet into the collection plate, but included a small note with the words, 'and my life.'"

This Is From the Antipas Prayer Force Archives, 12/27/2008)

WATCH, STAND FAST IN THE FAITH, BE BRAVE, BE STRONG. (1 Corinthians 16:13)

During what was later to be called, "The Battle of the Bulge," German forces overran 2 regiments of the 106th Division and thousands were forced to surrender.  Thousands of US green troops, however, just turned and ran from the Wehrmacht onslaught.  Earlier in the war, after the debacle at Kasserine Pass, where some stood and fought, but others turned and ran, General Patton said, "Even the best foxhounds are gun shy the first time out."  No blame here, just the reality of life for humans.  Now what about you and me in the midst of the current battle?

The Holy Spirit would not have urged Paul to write our text if Believers did not need this kind of exhortation and encouragement.  We all know people who exude the air of perfect spirituality, never show signs of weakness, never fearful, always seemingly on top of things; I write not for them.  I write for those who find days when we need to hear, "watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong."

There are seasons in this pilgrimage when the enemy throws overwhelming forces at us, and we too face the temptation to turn and attempt to outrun the onslaught.  Our text commands us what to do.  Someone once said that when the Lord says, "Fear not," He has a reason; something is facing us which will cause fear.  But to those who are utterly dependent in Jesus Christ, the, "Fear not," command rules.

Mark this:  There are no impossible commands in the Bible.  If some seem as such, it is only because we try to walk in them apart from total dependency on the Living, Indwelling Christ.  "Watch," in Jesus.  "Stand fast in the faith," in Jesus Christ.  "Be brave," in Jesus. "Be strong," in Jesus Christ.  And, as He says, "Do this and you will live."

Father, in Jesus' Name, thank You that You are the power of the command.  Amen.

The Reign Of Jesus Does Not Negate Our Responsibility

"Or who shut in the sea with doors.., when I fixed My limit for it, and set bars and doors, when I said, 'This far you may come, but no farther, and here your proud waves must stop!'"  (Job 38)

I encourage you to listen to Job 38 again.  It is God's "powerful" conclusion to all the speculation of the previous 35 chapters.  The, "Where were you," still rings from the Realm of Glory.

Our text is a great hope for humanity, that is, if we would just receive the Words as the very, "Word of God."  What Jesus, "The Word of  God," says in our text to the sea, He is also, and has been from, "In the beginning..," saying to humanity, "This far you may come, but no farther, and here your proud...must stop!"

This Divinely Powerful utterance to Job keeps the Followers of Jesus, who see the growing spread of the sin virus, from the despair and hopelessness of this present world system.  But the millions of people who claim to be Followers of Jesus in the United States of America, yet do not vote, need to realize that a tsunami of evil will be unleashed in America, the likes of which they have never witnessed, if the Democrats win the Presidency, the House and Senate.  Yes, history has proven that our text rules Supreme.  History also proves, however, the untold suffering, turmoil and chaos which reigns because, "good men do nothing."

I ask you to pray with me that we do not just sit by passively with, "God has everything under control," and sit at home shirking the responsibility and privilege which Americans have had from its founding, a privilege which no other nation can claim.  The Church has the power to determine the American Government, whether righteousness or wickedness will prevail.

Father, in Jesus' Name, I am trusting in Your Mighty Arm to stem the tide of evil unleashed in the earth, but I pray I so align myself with Your Mighty Arm.  Amen.
