"....LAUNCH OUT INTO THE DEEP...."

"When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, 'Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.'" (Luke 5:4)

I guess the lesson here is quite elementary.  If we do not, "Launch out into the deep and let down your nets..," there will be no, "....catch."

"....IT IS REQUIRED IN STEWARDS.............."

"Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful."  (1 Corinthians 4:2)

I heard someone once quip when another said, "It's not up to us to be successful, but to be faithful," that such an attitude was an excuse for not being successful.  

Well, over the years, I have observed that what most call "successful" is the number count and the dollars brought in.  For me, obedience is what determines "success."  King Jesus opens a door, by whatever means, and we walk through it.

Most of the times when I have walked through "open doors" over the years I gave little forethought to resources.  It was not because I was so "spiritual."  It was that I was sure it was Jesus, and as His follower, I followed. 

Father, in Jesus' Name, I long to walk in obedience.  Amen.
