DO YOU WANT ADVICE?

"Your counsel (Words) also are my delight; they are my advisors (counsel)."  (Psalm 119:24, NASB)

Psychologists may be okay, as is pastoral counseling.  The Bible, however, states many times that direction, counsel, wisdom, etc., is found in the Scriptures, the Very, "Words of God."  Neglect Jesus' Words, and the counsel of man is of no avail.

Jesus teaches us that in the Holy Spirit we have, "The Counselor"; hence, Jesus' Words and Holy Spirit, "....are my Advisors/Counselor."

Father, in Jesus' Name, thank You for THE Counselor.  Amen.

MY PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY

"I lift up my eyes to the mountains-- where does my help come from?  My help comes from the Lord [Jesus Christ], the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot flip-- He who watches over you will not slumber;...The Lord [Jesus Christ] watches over you-- the Lord [Jesus Christ] is your shade at your right hand;...The Lord [Jesus Christ] will keep you from all harm-- He will watch over your life: the Lord [Jesus Christ] will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore."  (Psalm 121, NIV)

I have over $3000.00 for Ukrainian Relief efforts.  I am hoping to wire some funds by the end of November.  Winter is closing in!

"....WHO MADE THE GREAT LIGHTS...."

"....to the One Who made the great lights, for His gracious love is everlasting--"  (Psalm 136:7, ISV)

I absolutely love the greatness of the simplicity of "ancient" faith, "To The One Who made the great lights."  Our text reveals the "simplicity" of a relationship in Jesus Christ sort of like when Isaac, "went out into the field to meditate."  Would to our Lord Jesus Christ we were all more like this.

Modern man knows the concept of "light years," and, "great lights," of the Universe which are far beyond what this ancient man knew.  Sadly for most, our greater "knowledge" has not brought greater faith.

A young man was once expounding Darwinist "science" from a college book in a Sunday School class.  Holding a Bible, I said, "You and I have a choice.  We can either believe that, or we can believe this."  You and I have the same daily choice.

Father, in Jesus' Name, I choose You and Your Words.

"MAKE ALL NATIONS MY DISCIPLES"

"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations...."  (Matthew 28:19a)

Try this: "Make all nations My Disciples."  This begins with bringing nations into complete submission to Jesus Christ in the New Birth and Holy Spirit Baptism.  It then continues to bring, "all nations," into complete submission to the teachings of, "The Words of God," in education, business, government, every aspect of human life.

Father, in Jesus' Name, "lift my vision higher."  Amen.

"PERFECT EVERYTHING"

"I will delight myself in Your statutes; I will not forget Your Word."  (Psalm 119:16)

Psalm 119 tells us that what John Wesley called, "the means of grace," work by and through, "The Word of God," Who is Jesus Christ, and That Which the Bible says of Itself, "the Words of God."  I encourage you that the next time you read Psalm 119 take note of this.

Psalm 119 affirms the reality that apart from Jesus Christ, "The Word of God," and His Words you and I have nothing, absolutely nothing.  In Jesus Christ and His Words, however, we have what Rufus Mosely called, "Perfect Everything."

Father, in Jesus' Name, thank You that You are The, "Lamp to my feet and Light to my path."  Amen.
