"....THOSE WHO BELIEVE...."

"But we are not of those who draw back to destruction, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul."  (Hebrews 10:39)

There are those who have indeed drawn, "....back to destruction...."

Let us pray for each other that we be not of those, "....but of those who believe to the saving of the soul."

Father, in Jesus' Name, I pray for my friend here and me that we continue to be, "....of those who believe to the saving of the soul."  Amen.

PSALM NUGGET, OT LESSON, NT LESSON

PSALM NUGGET:
"The Lord will command His lovingkindness in the daytime; and His song will be with me in the night, a prayer to the God of my life."  (Psalm 42:6, NASB)

OT LESSON:
"'Behold, days are coming,' declares the Lord, 'When the plowman will overtake the reaper and the treader of grapes him who sows seed; when the mountains will drip sweet wine and all the hills will be dissolved.'"  (Amos 9:13, NASB)

NT LESSON:
"He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but He entered the Most Holy Place once for all by His own Blood, thus obtaining eternal redemption."  (Hebrews 9:12, NIV)

"HE SACRIFICED...ONCE FOR ALL...."

"Unliked the other high priests, He does not need to offer sacrifices day after day, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people.  He sacrificed for their sins once for all when He offered Himself."  (Hebrews 7:27, NIV)

The Bible tells us that, "God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself."  And our text is another declaration of The Reality.

Jesus Christ, "Emmanuel, God with us," did not need to offer sacrifices for His own sins, because as the Bible declares, "....He appeared so that He might take away our sins.  And in Him is no sin."  But when it came to the human race, we needed a sacrifice, "....for the sins of the people."

So what did the Godhead do for you and me?  "He sacrificed for their sins once for all when He offered Himself."

Father, in Jesus' Name, thank You that Your sacrifice is, "....once for all...."  Amen.
