Read 2 Kings 23:1-25

"Such a Passover surely had never been held since the days of the judges who judged Israel, nor in all the days of the kings of israel and the kings of Judah."  (2 Kings 23:22)

This could be called a "great awakening" in Israel.  They had not been walking in, "The Word of God."  Somebody found a copy of the, "Words of God," showed it and read it to the king; repentance followed.

Notice who ordered this move.  It was not the priests/pastors, no religious leaders.  It was the king, the president, if you will.  So much for the "separation of Church and State."  Wouldn't it be great if government leaders in the nations would encounter and surrender their lives to Jesus Christ and His Words?!?

Father, in Jesus' Name, I pray for heads of states in the earth to have such a heart as Josiah.  Amen.

This is Jesus Christ.  Remember: only one Lord, not an Old Testament one and a New Testament one.  This is Who Jesus Christ is to you and me, to all who surrender their lives to Him. 

Our text is found in Psalm 18; therefore, the next time you read either 2 Samuel 22 or Psalm 18, MAKE SURE you read 2 Samuel 21 first, and, take particular note.  You'll see the reason.

Father, how do many times I have "sung" this song!!  Amen.
