A Lesson From Hebrews 11

"By faith Abraham...obeyed...."  (Hebrews 11)

Every, "by faith," in Hebrews 11 is followed by a verb.

When Peter, an 18 year old Norwegian, "heard the call to evangelize China, on that day he not only emptied his wallet into the collection plate, but included a small note with the words, 'and my life.'"

Hebrews 12:2

When Do We "Receive The Promise"?

"For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise", or, "....you may receive what was promised."  (Hebrews 10:36)

"After," is key here.  As little children, our lives tend to want it the other way around.  "I want it before," or, "I want it now!"  Father says, "No, '....after you have done [My] will."

Father, in Jesus' Name, thank You for this "revelation" today.  Amen.
