THE GREAT "CURE" FOR HUMANITY

"The heart is deceitful above all things, and incurably sick; who can understand it."  (Jeremiah 17:9)

Just look around; just look inside ourselves.  The Words cannot be denied.

The, "....incurably sick", however, found the "Cure."  When Jesus shed His Most Precious Blood, when Jesus rose, "from among the dead", sin was Cured, as the Bible says, "....we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the Body of Jesus Christ once for all." 

Father, in Jesus' Name, I needed and still need only Your, "cure."  Thank You that You, "were in Christ reconciling the world to [Your]self."  Amen.

WHAT AN ABSOLUTELY GREAT PRAYER

"Although our sins testify against us, do something, Lord, for the sake of your Name.  For we have often rebelled; we have sinned against You."  (Jeremiah 14:7, NIV)

I submit to you a great prayer to pray------- for anyone and anything:

"....Do something, Lord...."  For me, it is better than I saying to the Lord, Do this and that.  I know so little of life.

And Jesus did, i.e., "do something...," even though, "....our sins testify against us," and, "we have often rebelled; we have sinned against You."  Jesus, "bore our sins in His Own Body on the tree," Peter tells us.  Isaiah tells us that Jesus was, "....pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are healed."

Now that is, "....something," above all somethings.  

Father, in Jesus' Name, on behalf of me and my family, our church, the nations, "Do something...."  Amen.

"NEITHER"

"'Are you for us or for our enemies?...Neither,' he replied...."  (Joshua 5:13c & 14a) 

Joshua thought that there was his side and the other side.  There isn't.  Life says that there is only Jesus Christ's Side.  "....Dominion belongs to the Lord [Jesus Christ] and He rules over the nations."  

I spoke with a sad person last week.  That person just could not understand the whys of life.  There was a little "my side and the other side" in that person's life philosophy.  I remember thinking that I could be living my life the same way.  Losing a child is losing a large part of yourself.  By Jesus' grace and mercy, however, Jesus is still in my life as, "....commander of the army of the Lord I have now come."

Father, in Jesus' Name, keep me from a my-side-your-side life.  Amen.

"....WHEN HE SET THE HEAVENS IN PLACE...."

"I was there when He set the heavens in place, when He marked out the horizon on the face of the deep.., when He gave the sea its boundary.., when He marked out the foundations of the earth."  (Proverbs 8, NIV)

Proverbs 8 is speaking of wisdom.  1 Corinthians 1 tells us that Jesus Christ, "....became to us wisdom from God."  Furthermore, in today's text we see that this same, "....Wisdom from God," Jesus Christ, "....was there when He set the heavens in place.., when He marked out the foundations of the earth."  Of course He was.  He is, "The Alpha and Omega."  

The Bible teaches us that our Lord Jesus Christ is, "The Word of God...through Whom He also made the ages."  Again, I remind us all:  This same Glorious Jesus Christ is, "....Christ in you (viz., the Church), the hope of glory."  Now what were you perplexed about today?

Father, in Jesus' Name, How glorious is Your Word to me.  Amen.
