"All the Nations Belong to You"

"Rise up, O God, and judge the earth, for all the nations belong to you." (Psalm 82:8, NLT)

And can we say that because, "all nations belong to You," they belong to us, His Servants?!?

I was in Washington, DC over the last three days praying for the USA Government.  I observed the posturing, the bravado, the arrogance of some of our lawmakers, interpreters and executioners of those laws.  They act as though the Nation does not belong to Jesus Christ, but to themselves.  They literally, "have no king but Caesar."  Obama even wants to come into America's kitchens and tell families what is acceptable dining.  The more I observe the Democrat Party the more I am convinced that many key leaders in that party have one goal, to ultimately control every aspect of American life.  Yet in the midst of all this there are people such as Senator Inhofe of Oklahoma, Believers, Followers, and Servants of Jesus Christ, who are fighting daily for the "soul" of the US.  Make God prosper such!

Our text says it all, "....all the nations belong to You."  Psalm 84:3 addresses King Jesus as, "O LORD of Heaven's Armies, my King and my God!"  This is He to Whom, "all the nations belong."  His Armies are vast in number, and some day Jesus will come with that Army to, "judge the earth."  May the Holy Spirit help us as the Church to do all we can to, "prepare ye the way of the Lord."

Father, in Jesus' Name, help me never forget in the midst of turmoil on earth, "all the nations belong to You."  Am

"You Seek Jesus...."

"But he said to them, 'Do not be alarmed.  You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified.  He is risen!  He is not here.  See they place where they laid Him.'" (Mark 16:6)

This is the greatest news Planet Earth ever heard.  "He is risenHe is not here."  The Followers of Jesus went to the only place they knew to go, the only place their "faith" was able to take them---------- the tomb.  They had little precedence for any other decision.  Yes, there were the examples of Enoch and Elijah as to "resurrection" power, but the likelihood of expecting an empty tomb was not in their "world."  We have 2000 years of testimonial history.  They did not.  What emotions they must have experienced.  The next verse tells us that while, "He is not here," the angel told them where they could find Him, "....He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him, as He said to you."

The women came to a tomb to, "seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified."  We do not go to a tomb.  "You seek Jesus of Nazareth."  Do you?  Or are you seeking "presence," anointing, bigger and better "ministry," some illusive happiness in life which just keeps avoiding you?  "....Seek Jesus of Nazareth."  Jesus does not avoid you, is not illusive.  "And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart."  He just desires our hearts, "all your heart."  When He has them, we have Him.

Father, in Jesus' Name, what good news, what joy and hope.  Thank You.  Amen.
