How Do You Deal With the "Zigzaggings" of Life?

"But God is the Judge: He puts down one, and exalts another."
(Psalm 75:7)

I read earlier about the vicious tornadoes which went through southeast Virginia.  One photo showed a tornado going right between two houses, leaving them unscathed.  The one directly in its path was leveled.  One writer said that the tornado "zigzagged" it's way for miles.

How do you deal with the "zigzaggings" of life?  Why one "house" and not the other?  Be very, very, careful not to conclude that the reason the "storm" passed your house and not your neighbors' was that you were "better" than they.  I have heard these questions over the years:  "Why do some Believers in Jesus Christ die so young, while so many wicked live into their 90's; why do the wicked prosper and live in health, while so many Believers in Jesus are poor and sick?"

You might as well put away that "manual" which has the answers for everything.  And, while you are at it, stay away from the person who always has an answer for everything.  The Bible doesn't do that!  In fact, a lot of people in the Gospels went away from Jesus with more questions than answers.  The "peace of God which passes all understanding" does not "keep your hearts and minds" in answered questions, but "in Christ Jesus."  I highly recommend more time in the Words of Jesus than in the words of...........................................................................................................................

Father, in Jesus' Name, please be with that family I saw today, standing in the midst of what used to be their house.  Thank You that they still have their home.  Amen.
