"Now there were four leprous men at the entrance of the gate; and they said to one another, 'Why are we sitting here until we die? If we say, "We will enter the city," the famine is in the city, and we shall die there. And if we sit here, we die also." (2 Kings 7:4a,b)
Robert E. Lee said after Chancellorsville, "I was too week to defend, so I attacked." This was the attitude of the four leprous men.
In our walk in Jesus Christ there come moments when the Red Sea is in front of us, mountains on both sides, and Pharaoh's army behind us. Sometimes desperation can be a good situation in which to find ourselves. Perhaps that is faith's greatest opportunity.
Father, in Jesus' Name, thank You for faith's great opportunities. Amen.
