"....Our God...is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king. But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods...." (Daniel 3:17, 18a)
Anyone who claims any belief in a Supreme Being can say that He, "....is able." That statement requires very little "faith." Then in the latter half of the 20th Century came the Charismatic movement. It was well known for, "our God will."
What is needed to be an overcomer in life, however, is the last thing the Hebrew boys said, "But if not...." Life will defeat the person who has no, "But if not...," in their walk in Jesus Christ. Embrace, "But if not..," and we will endure to the end.
Father, in Jesus' Name, I want to be a, "But if not..," Follower of You. Amen.
