"Give us this day our daily bread." (Matthew 6:11)
Notice, it is not, "Give us this week," or, "Give us this year, or the rest of our life," but, "Give us this day...." This is Kingdom faith living.
I have been referring to "The Lord's Prayer" as the Prayer of Jesus for many years. It, as does incarnational theology, brings a "flesh" Person to the whole "religion" genre. When people talk of "God" or even "the Lord" it can mean anything. When people speak of Jesus it can only mean one thing, "God with us....For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power." Just a note, When the Supreme Court of the United States of America outlawed The Prayer of Jesus from the state school system------they outlawed God Himself.
This is Who Jesus Christ Is. He is the Flesh of the Godhead. "The Word became flesh and dwelled among us, and we beheld His glory...." Any physical appearance of God recorded in the Scripture is the revelation of Jesus Christ, Word of Father, "No one has seen God at any time. The sole God, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him" (Interlinear). I say again, If anyone speaks of God without Jesus Christ, they are not speaking of God; they are speaking of a god, a god of their imagination. Just a thought, It is interesting to me that I have never heard a Muslim speak of seeing Allah. I have heard of many thousands of Muslims, however, who have testified to seeing Jesus.
Father, in Jesus' Name, though I do not fully grasp all of the great Theology of the Bible, I desire to fully grasp You. Amen.
