Only, "By Faith We Understand"

"In the beginning God created....By faith we understand that...."

(Genesis 1:1 & Hebrews 11:3)

 

It's the third quarter of 2010.  "In the beginning God," and, "In the beginning was the Word."  That's all you and I need to know.  If we know this and believe this and live on this, life will be okay, maybe not all you desire it to be, but it will be all the Father in the Son Jesus created it to be.  "In the beginning," means He started it all; and at the end of the Bible, He declares, "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last."  And just a little frosting here, "underneath are the Everlasting Arms!"  Jesus Christ, Who is, "God with us," started all "this" and He will end all "this."  He created you and me.  It was His desire for us to be here.  And even though we were born, "in the midst of a wicked and perverse generation," we now, "having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible through the word of God," are privileged to, "live together with (and in) Him."  And this, "Word of God," Jesus Christ, is He who, "lives and abides forever...." 

 

Our text also asserts something which Followers of Jesus Christ must constantly remember and walk in.  I can only believe that, "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth," and I can only state with absolute certainty everything I have just written, when I do so, "By faith...by the word of God...."-- not the "scientific method."  If you listen to the reasoning of this present world system, your faith will die, because, "....God made foolish the wisdom of this world".  For a moment, just listen to the pundits, the politicians, and water cooler philosophers, liberal and conservative alike, and then hear the Word of God, "....All the remnant...shall know whose words will stand, Mine or theirs."   

 

Father, in Jesus' Name, because I want to, "having done all to stand," I embrace only Your Words.  Amen.
