The, "Strike," of the Righteous is, "as Excellent Oil"

"Let the righteous strike me; it shall be a kindness.  And let him rebuke me; it shall be as excellent oil; let my head not refuse it.  For still my prayer is against the deeds of the wicked." (Psalm 141:5)

The psalmist here declares his loyalty to righteousness, and his hatred of wickedness.  In the previous Psalm, he said, "Do I not hate them with perfect hatred?"  I do not need to say the old, all too often cliche, "we hate the sin, but not the sinner."  Of course, but even though that's often said, the result of a Believer's hatred of evil equates with hatred of evil people.  We just simply need to get over the demon controlled "political correctness" dominating modern Christendom.  A Follower of Jesus Christ, "is against the deeds of the wicked."

Truth is, we are all evil without the covering, cleansing Blood of Jesus Christ.  Yes, let he, "who is without sin among you cast the first stone," but the "stones" of judgment will be cast; let there be no doubt about it.  The psalmist hatred of sin and loyalty to righteousness came from the Holy Spirit, emissary of the Holy Trinity.  Righteousness and wickedness is the distinction between the Follower of Jesus and the follower of Satan.  The last command of the Bible says, "Let him who does wrong continue to do wrong; let him who is vile continue to be vile; let him who does right continue to do right; and let him who is holy continue to be holy."
Derek Prince once said of this passage that if a person has chosen the life of sin, i.e., refusing a life of obedience to Jesus Christ, "You might as well live it up, because you don't have long."

The word to those of us who, "follow the Lamb wherever He goes," is, "Let him who does right continue to do right; and let him who is holy continue to be holy."

Father, in Jesus' Name, in Your grace, help me to, "continue," in that which is pleasing to You.  Amen.
