"Rich fulfillment"---- other translations say, "abundance, refreshment, the open air." The Hebrew word is, "satisfaction," which comes from a root word meaning, "bath, made drunk, soak." "Rich fulfillment"-- Some times you read a phrase from the Breath of God and He becomes something "new" to you. It is not necessarily "revelation." It is impartation. The Blessed Trinity breathed this Word deep into the depth of my being today, and "rich fulfillment" is mine.
The Message paraphrase renders our text, "He trained us first, passed us like silver through refining fires, brought us into hardscrabble country, pushed us to our very limit, road-tested us inside and out, took us to hell and back; finally he brought us to this well-watered place." This is the "path" of the Believer in Jesus Christ. Who cannot say, "Amen," to the psalmist's journey?
Jesus uttered words which the human race had not heard. "Come to me...and I will give you rest.....Let not your hearts be troubled.... Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you....If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you." No one has ever offered such "rich fulfillment," such abundance, such refreshment, such "open air." If you are His today, He is yours. Breath deeply of Him, Jesus, the Word of God------------------------------- your "rich fulfillment."
Father, in Jesus' Name, I continually marvel at the "Rich Fulfillment" You are in my life. Amen.
