"The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want." (Psalm 23:1)
I woke up in the middle of the night and this immediately came to me. It was as though our Good Shepherd, Jesus, was speaking this Psalm to me:
"I am your Shepherd, son; you shall not want. I have always made you lie down in green pastures, and led you beside the waters of rest. My love for you continually restores your soul, and I have continually, for these past 80 years, led you in the paths of righteousness for My Name's sake. Yes, even though you have walked through the valley of the shadow of death, I kept you from fearing evil, because I am always with you and in you. I have always comforted you with my rod and staff. I have continually prepared a table before you in the presence of My enemies. Doesn't indeed your cup run over? I want you to know beyond all your comprehension that surely goodness and mercy shall follow you all the days of your life, and you will assuredly dwell in My House and in Me forever."
When Peter, an 18 year old Norwegian, "heard the call to evangelize China, on that day he not only emptied his wallet into the collection plate, but included a small note with the words, 'and my life.'"
