MY TAKE ON TODAY'S US SUPREME COURT DECISION

"I have more understanding ('discernment') than the elders, for I obey Your precepts."  (Psalm 119:100, NASB)

Notice that it is not, "I have more understanding/discernment than the elders, for I am smarter than they," or "more perceptive, have a bigger church, more education, pray more, worship better, read more of the Bible," etc., etc.  IT IS OBEDIENCE TO JESUS CHRIST AND HIS WORDS which alone brings the necessary, "understanding/discernment," to navigate, to live the overcoming life as a Follower of Jesus Christ in this present age.

The US Supreme Court announced today a decision on abortion which puts decisions about the final say concerning abortion on the State Legislatures.  The responsibility now goes from the sick justices who affirmed the murder of the unborn in 1973 to, "We the people."  No longer will the court alone, or presidents who nominated justices, bear the indictment of murder.  It now shifts to you and me, directly, very directly.  However you and I vote in November for national, state, and local representatives will bring you and me, and the Nation closer to Divine accountability.  Our, "obey," will manifest in November.

And do not think for a moment that this is some sort of proof texting.  "The Words of God," viz., the Bible, is full of Such Words as righteousness, justice, judgment, mercy, grace, love, obedience.  These Words are defined ultimately by, "If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me."  Deny-myself-0bedience to Jesus Christ and His Words, not my, "own understanding," determines "Divine Favor."

Father, in Jesus' Name, I pray that the, "iniquity of the Amorite," just continue to manifest, so that all who have a heart to hear, see and obey You will be saved, "come to the knowledge of the truth," and receive You, Jesus, as their King and Savior.  Amen.

When Peter, an 18 year old Norwegian, "heard the call to evangelize China, on that day he not only emptied his wallet into the collection plate, but included a small note with the words, 'and my life.'"
