Hebrews 12:2
I remind us all that "adding" Jesus' Name to a text which reads, "the Lord," is correct Biblical Theology. There is not an Old Testament Lord and a New Testament Lord. As, "The Word of God," Himself declares, "There is One Lord, One Faith."
Our text is a warning to world leaders, and encouragement to any discouraged Followers of Jesus who believe that Jesus did not answer their prayers concerning the last American Presidential Election. "The Lord [Jesus Christ] frustrates the counsel of the nations...." Regardless of how things appear, Jesus', "counsel stands FOREVER...." I charge us all to never, ever forget this.
Father, in Jesus' Name, I pray that You "thwart" any of my plans which are not of You. Amen.
