"....The King Eternal"

"Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory for ever and everAmen."  (1 Timothy 1:17)

Every so often Paul has these "outbursts."  He's writing along, then, "Now to the King eternal...."  I imagine he had some of those moments when working on the tents.

I come across these moments every day while reading the Bible.  It's okay then to just stop reading for a moment (a while) and worship, praise, give thanks, meditate, take a sort of, "Selah," moment.

People may preach and teach great things, and sometimes you want to so respond.  But you and I should expect these moments every day.  The Words of Jesus are, as the Bible says, "unalloyed," viz., no mixture, no impurities, just, "life to those who find them, and medicine (health) to all their body."  More than anyone or anything, Jesus' Words produce glorious "outbursts."

Father, in Jesus' Name, Father, Son Jesus, Holy Spirit, "be honor and glory for ever and ever.  Amen.

Had to "rain check" DC-- "foul weather."

When Peter, an 18 year old Norwegian, "heard the call to evangelize China, on that day he not only emptied his wallet into the collection plate, but included a small note with the words, 'and my life.'"
