"And you, son of man, prophesy to the mountains of Israel...." (Ezekiel 36:1)
Make no mistake. God does talk to mountains.
Now, "all Scripture is God-Breathed," and it is really not proper to say we have "favorite" passages. Besides, it tends to a faith of my choosing rather than a faith of, "all Scripture...." Yet I can say that reading Ezekiel 36 over the past 44 years has been an ever-growing, ever-expanding of my sense of the universal, the limitless boundaries of the Kingdom of Heaven/God. For too much of today's Christendom, religion is selective, "favorites," pet emphasis. The world rightly scoffs at and rejects such religion, and, it leaves the adherents frustrated "outside" of God's purpose for humanity. I cannot encourage you enough to skip that favorite TV show, or take some time from that hobby, or the whatevers of life which, "so easily beset us," and read Ezekiel 36 sometime today.
The following is "the word of the Lord" today to the nations of the world, particularly Syria, Iraq, Iran, The United States of America: "Thus says the Lord God to the mountains, the hills, the rivers, the valleys, the desolate wastes, and the cities that have been forsaken, which became plunder and mockery to the rest of the nations, and you are taken up by the lips of talkers and slandered by the people--I have raised My hand in an oath that surely the nations that are around you shall bear their own shame. But you, O mountains of Israel, you shall shoot forth your branches and yield your fruit to My people Israel, for they are about to come." You and I are in, "the secret place of the Most High," the Living Triune God. While, as right now, the President of the United States is about to hold a news conference on what he plans to do, King Jesus has already determined His Plan, His Purpose. I would highly advise the Church of Jesus Christ to align ourselves with the Latter.
Father, in Jesus' Name, "Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth as it is in Heaven." Amen.

When Peter, an 18 year old Norwegian, "heard the call to evangelize China, on that day he not only emptied his wallet into the collection plate, but included a small note with the words, 'and my life.'"
