"Behold, the day of the LORD is coming....For I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem....Then the LORD will go forth and fight against those nations, as He fights in the day of battle.  And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which faces Jerusalem on the east.  And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two, from east to west....It shall come to pass in that day that there will be no light; the lights will diminish.  It shall be one day which is known to the LORD-- neither day nor night....And the LORD shall be King over all the earth.  In that day it shall be-- 'The LORD is one,' and His name one."   (From Zech. 14)
Among other passages, I am in Zechariah.  Our text is at the same time exhilarating, exciting, and frightening.  It speaks of the close of this age, and the Second Coming of Jesus, our King.  There are just some things which none of us fully understand, but Praise the Blessed Trinity, the service of the Holy Spirit is to, "teach you all things."  He came to, "convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment," and to, "bring to []our remembrance all things that [Jesus] said to [us]."   The Holy Spirit keeps the obedient in The Father and The Son, Jesus Christ, and in His Words.  When I yield to the Holy Spirit, I will know what I need to know, will do what I need to do, and be kept from, "the paths of the destroyer," as "that day" approaches.
All who have received and walk in the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, have all the "anointing" we need to walk victoriously in these days.  But remember Sampson who walked presumptuously in his anointing.  How many times Delilah said, "The Philistines are upon you, Sampson"?  The great, strong man of faith and anointing would arise and defeat the enemy.  But one moment of compromise, one moment as, "Esau who for one morsel of food sold his birthright," and the enemy conquered.  "But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you."
"But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat....Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness....Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells" (2 Peter).
Father, in Jesus' Name, thank You for Your keeping power.   Amen
