"Now on the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul, ready to depart the next day, spoke to them and continued his message until midnight....and talked a long while, even till daybreak...." (Acts 20:7, 11b)
Why did the Apostle speak and the people stay--- "until midnight?" It was not because it was some "renewal" movement, or they had nothing else to do, or those gathered were just curios about some novel new religion. This "Gospel of the Kingdom" is a life and death matter. It is so much so that Our Lord Jesus said the end will not come until "this gospel...will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations...." You and I are about the work which will determine the future of men and nations.
What's keeping you up at night?
Father, in Jesus' Name, I pray for an "all night" urgency in me. Amen.
