The "Forever" King and His "Forever" Kingdom

"But King Solomon shall be blessed, and the throne of David shall be established before the LORD forever."  (1 Kings 2:45)

The operative word here is, "forever."

"Black Friday"---- This was the first headline I saw this morning.  The market is still dropping, and so are the spirits of the worshippers of mammon and slaves to the life style of this present age.  Some "prophetic" people speak of coming world disasters as though they delight in it.  These are not true prophets.  What is happening in the global scene should only intensify the fear of the Living Triune God in you and me.

I decided to read through the Bible in the 40 days leading up to the American Presidential Election.  Since September 26, the reading has taken me nearly through the end of 2 Chronicles.  Biblical Theology reveals in every line of the "God-Breathed" Word that the Living Triune God, revealed in Jesus Christ, just continues "from age to age the same."  In His Word we see Him keeping His People through the severe persecution of millennia.  And He never changes.  Just in my life time, Jesus, the "Forever" One, has kept His people through the severe persecution of communism and dictators, the near annihilation of the Jews and the modern State of Israel.  No other person, no other religion has ever produced a, "Forever!"

A Senator friend of mine recently said, "There is panic on Capitol Hill."  But to those who are a part of The "Forever" King and His Kingdom, the Word of Jesus is, "....Do not fret ("agitation resulting from active worry")--- it leads only to evil....But the meek will inherit the land and enjoy great peace (The word for, "peace," here is the Hebrew, Shalom---safety, wellness, happiness, friendliness, health, prosperity, and peace).  "They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads.  There shall be no night there:  They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light.  And they shall reign forever and ever."

Father, in Jesus' Name, You give me absolutely no reason to "fret."  Amen.
