"Incomprehensible"-- He Is

"He replied, 'Why do you ask my nameIt is beyond understanding.'"  (Judges 13:18, NIV)

Or, "it is incomprehensible."  Whoever this messenger was, there is no doubt that he was speaking for the Godhead.  "Incomprehensible," is another way of saying, "His ways are past finding out."

We need to keep 1 Cor. 2:11b in mind as we walk this journey, "Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God."  Too many speak of, "the things of God," with a flippant familiarity.  They carry the attitude of, "Oh, of course.  Didn't you know that?"  More and more I find, I probably didn't/don't.

Pilate just could not understand Jesus.  All Pilate had were questions which to him had no satisfactory answer.  Jesus said to him, "My Kingdom is not of this realm," or, "from here."  He told Pilate amid his threats that, "You would have no power over Me at all, unless it had been given you from above."  To Pilate, the whole ordeal was, "incomprehensible."  Apart from the New Birth, all humans are just as confused as Pilate.

So, what about you and me today?  I say we, "worship and adore You, bowing down before You, songs of praises singing, Hallelujahs ringing."  This, my friend, is the best way to deal with, "incomprehensible."  Maybe a good "summary" of the Bible is, "Just stop trying to figure out so much:  Worship."

Father, in Jesus' Name, I do "worship and adore you."  Amen.

When Peter, an 18 year old Norwegian, "heard the call to evangelize China, on that day he not only emptied his wallet into the collection plate, but included a small note with the words, 'and my life.'"
